The Emunah Children's Center is supported by Child Protective Services with the Ministry of Social Affairs. Unfortunately, there is a vast discrepancy between the funding we receive and the actual cost of providing for our wonderful children.

The Israeli government allocates 80 NIS per child per month for emotional and psychotherapies. It is absurd to think that we can help a child break the vicious cycle of distress with less than $25 a month……..

The Israel government allocates only 500 NIS per child for clothing and footwear for an entire year!!! How far can we stretch $120??

The government budgets for only one night counselor to care for and protect almost 100 children who sleep in 5 separate buildings!!
Government funding per diem is approximately 5000 NIS (less than $1250) per month. The actual cost of maintaining a child and providing his or her needs is over 7500 NIS (over $2100). The month discrepancy is currently $60,000 EVERY MONTH !!

Our friends and supporters have worked wonders for our children. For those kind souls who wish to do something for children at risk at the Emunah Sarah Herzog Children’s Center in Afula, here are some ways you can help:
PROVIDE FOR OUR CHILDREN
We encourage our friends and supporters to participate in the rearing and education of our children. Our children’s many needs include extra-curricular programs, tutoring, social activities and recreation. Our dining hall, bed rooms, and day care center need constant upkeep. Our trained staff provides therapy sessions for our children, which are so essential for their recovery.
We need lots of outside help to achieve these aims, and welcome all donations to meet our various objectives. One can cover the expenses of an individual child and become his or her patron for the duration of a school year. Or, one can support our Home by participating in its general operating expenses and building projects. Regardless of the size of your contribution, we welcome all supporters. For our children, any kind of outside help is a tremendous confidence boost.

Imagine a child who has never received a letter. Envision a state of not knowing what it means to expect mail from a loved one. Picture a boy or girl who never even had the pleasure of opening an envelope containing a birthday card. Sadly, this state of isolation describes the condition of our children at the Emunah Sarah Herzog Children’s Center.
Reach out to our children. All it takes is a friendly introductory letter that can open up new worlds for our children. For a child in distress, there is nothing as uplifting as a kind note from a friend.
