Mr. Haviv Peretz, Afula’s Deputy Mayor, visited Emunah Afula and was very impressed with the social carpentry shop and promised to try and help promote this social initiative. This program was created during the Coronavirus outbreak, out of a necessity to occupy the older children during lockdown, when they were unable to leave the home or the campus. The results have been very exciting, which encouraged Emunah Afula to set up a more permanent program. Emunah Afula’s children manufacture wooden garden furniture, swings, decorative wheelbarrows and other garden items. The young people are involved at every stage – planning, design, manufacturing, marketing and sales.
